First BIO-PLASTICS EUROPE EU review meeting concluded.
BIO-PLASTICS EUROPE’s review meeting took place this Thursday, the 17.06.2021. In this day-long event, the project consortium presented the project achievements to date: over the past 20 months, almost 50% of the project deliverables have already been completed. The meeting is a forum to evaluate the progress of the entire project, provide feedback and advice for future activities.
The European Research Executive Agency (REA) was represented by Mr. Marco Ranieri, who faciliated the meeting, Dr. Silvia Maltagliati and Ms. Blanca Saez-Lacave. The project was evaluated by two external evaluators, Mr. Martin Snijder (UpcyGran), an expert in circular economy and plastics recycling, and by Ms. Elena Moreno (Plásticos Hidrosolubles SL), active in the field of biodegradable and compostable plastics. The meeting included also a special session dedicated to discussing possible impacts of the project on EU policymakingwith both representatives of Horizon 2020 projects BIO-PLASTICS EUROPE and SEALIVE were present.
BIO-PLASTIC EUROPE partners were pleased to see their efforts recognized by REA and the reviewers, and are very grateful about the constructive feedback and expert advice for further progress.
